Designed to help people afford their ideal new home whether stepping on to the property ladder or moving to a larger home, Bennett Homes Equity Scheme enables you to fully own your new home. You pay just 85% of the purchase price on completion and then have 15 years to repay the balance. If you move home during this time you take 85% of the sale price*.
Example: A property for sale at £200,000 could be yours for a purchase payment of £170,000 with a 15% equity retained by Bennett Homes. There is no rent to pay. The house is 100% yours.
Bennett Homes fund 15% of the property price for a maximum of 15 years. If you wish to take a smaller stake or repay the outstanding value within the period we can arrange this with you.

Select and reserve your new Bennett Home and we will arrange for three local Estate Agents to assess and value the property you are selling. Providing conditions are met, we will aim to make a Part Exchange offer within 10 days of your reservation, subject to contract, survey and local searches.
If you accept, solicitors are instructed – it’s that simple. Once contacts are exchanged, we agree a completion date and you can look forward to an easy and hassle free move.
SmartMove Scheme
Let Bennett Homes take the stress out of moving. For only £500, we take on your sale and deal with Estate Agents, HIP, Solicitors and Removals for you.
The smart way to move to your new home for a fixed fee of just £500
- Bennett Homes instruct and pay the fees of a reputable Estate Agent to sell your existing home
- Bennett Homes arrange and pay for your Home Information Pack (HIP)
- Bennett Homes recommend a solicitor to act on your behalf and pay their legal fees for both sale and purchase
- Bennett Homes arrange and pay for your removals
Select and reserve your new Bennett Home and we will arrange for three local Estate Agents to assess and value the property you are selling. We will discuss valuations and Agents’ options with you and agree how best to market your property.
We will instruct an Estate Agent and arrange and pay for your HIP. At this point the scheme fee is non-refundable. A solicitor will be recommended to handle both your sale and your purchase.
We manage the marketing of your property and will discuss the outcome of any viewings with you. Once a sale is in place we will keep you informed of progress and pay both Solictors and Estate Agents fees on exchange of contracts for both properties.
For moving day we will arrange and pay for your removals.
Land-A-Home Scheme
Sold your house but your new Bennett Home is not ready for occupation? We will provide you with a property to live in rent-free until your new home is ready - and we will pay for your second move.
Bennett Homes Lend-A-Home Scheme enables you to reserve the new home of your choice, even at an early construction stage, and progress the sale of your existing home in the knowledge that you can complete as soon as you have a buyer.
Once contracts have been exchanged for both your sale and new Bennett Home purchase, we will lend you a property within 30 miles of your chosen location. Apart from a £200 administration fee, the property is rent-free regardless of your length of stay. And when your new home is ready for occupation we will also pay your removal costs from the Lend-A-Home to your new Bennett Home.
Lifetime Equity Scheme
Our Lifetime Equity Scheme for over 65’s can help you afford the new home of your dreams - own 100% of your new home but pay just 85% of the price with no interest, rent or fees payable.
To help over 65’s afford the new home of your dreams, Bennett Homes have introduced a Lifetime Equity Scheme that enables you to fully own your new home but pay just 85% of the purchase price on completion. This could enable you to add some extra space or make other lifestyle choices without affecting your retirement finances as you will not have to repay the equity sum, interest or fees in your lifetime.
