Designed to help people afford their ideal new home whether stepping on to the property ladder or moving to a larger home, Bennett Homes Equity Scheme enables you to fully own your new home. You pay just 85% of the purchase price on completion and then have 15 years to repay the balance. If you move home during this time you take 85% of the sale price*.
Example: A property for sale at £200,000 could be yours for a purchase payment of £170,000 with a 15% equity retained by Bennett Homes. There is no rent to pay. The house is 100% yours.
Bennett Homes fund 15% of the property price for a maximum of 15 years. If you wish to take a smaller stake or repay the outstanding value within the period we can arrange this with you.
Over 65? Then our Lifetime Equity Scheme is for you.
Bennett Homes Equity Scheme terms and conditions:
- Our Equity Scheme is available on selected properties on specific developments and subject to applicants' status.
- Bennett Homes' Equity Scheme is not available to investors or cash buyers and the Bennett Home purchased must be your principal residence.
- Stamp duty is payable on the full price of the property.
- No other incentives are available alongside the Equity scheme.
- * The amount repayable will be based on the prevailing market value of your property or the original equity sum, whichever is the greater.

Bennett Homes Lend-A-Home Scheme enables you to reserve the new home of your choice, even at an early construction stage, and progress the sale of your existing home in the knowledge that you can complete as soon as you have a buyer.
Once contracts have been exchanged for both your sale and new Bennett Home purchase, we will lend you a property within 30 miles of your chosen location. Apart from a £200 administration fee, the property is rent-free regardless of your length of stay. And when your new home is ready for occupation we will also pay your removal costs from the Lend-A-Home to your new Bennett Home.
Bennett Homes Lend-A-Home Scheme terms and conditions:
- Lend-A-Home only offered in conjunction with a stage payment contract.
- Lend-A-Home cannot be booked prior to exchange of contracts. Bennett Homes require a minimum of 21 days between exchange of contracts and occupation of the Lend-A-Home property.
- A Lend-A-Homes property can be a 2, 3 or 4 bedroom house or bungalow built, purchased or rented by Bennett Homes. Our Lend-A-Home offer will be based on availability at the time. Any property that meets our criteria will be considered suitable regardless of the size of property being purchased.
- If excess furniture needs to be put into storage this will be at your expense.
- You will be responsible for your own utility bills and council tax in the Lend-A-Home property. If the property has oil fired central heating Bennett Homes will pay the oil supplier and charge you a fixed rate per week regardless of usage.
- You will be required to maintain the gardens and other external areas during your stay in a Lend-A-Home.
- The Lend-A-Home property will be insured by Bennett Homes. You will be required to arrange contents insurance to cover personal possessions and any accidental damage caused by you to the property, its fixtures or fittings.
- Bennett Homes reserve the right to charge for damage and/or repairs other than those caused by normal wear and tear.
